Special Olympics

Every year UPS helps to sponser the "activities tent" for Special Olympics and they give their employees and families an opportunity to come and help partcipate. We have made it a tradition to go and take our kids. It always is such a great experience for all of us. We usually end up working the bounce house or one of the games and the kids get to help by handing out the "prizes" or whatever the "special needs" kids need to play the game. They also have a big stage set up inside the tent for karaokee. The olympians (and sometimes volunteers or other siblings) will wait for awhile just to get up on stage and sing their favorite tune! Cameron really really wanted to do it - so he signed up to do "bet on it" from High School Musical. He ended up getting to do it with 2 other girls that had wanted to sing the song too. I know it was such a good experience for him in more ways than one!
