Macy...ahhh..my little monkey. Tonight we were all outside washing Kenny's car and she kept climbing up on it. I had already removed her once off the ROOF of the car and gave a little swat - but I guess she "forgot" because about 10 minutes later she climbed back up on the trunk part and fell off on to the concrete. I immediately went over to her, blood everywhere, and noticed her front tooth was gone. Cameron later recovered it, entire thing in one piece. Her upper lip is HUGE and split open on the underneath side. I took her to the Urgent Care Clinic but they said they don't suture the inside of the mouth. On the way there, Macy said "it's okay, I'll get another tooth" and then once we got in the car on the way home, she said quietly "Thanks, Mom, for taking me to the ER. You're the best." My heart melted - even though she is a little monkey, it makes me feel so bad for her when she is so subdued and I know she is enduring the pain so well. She has so much personality and makes us laugh so much. We love you Macy!
TIPS for future teeth injuries:
1. Try to put the tooth back in immediately. (I didn't know this, and by the time we tried there was too much swelling)
2. If it won't go back in, keep the tooth wet in cold milk. (We did do this but I'm still not sure if it can be saved since it is just a baby tooth.)

we had a couple of kids lose teeth like that---we usually were successful putting the teeth back in---but they turned pretty gray anyway.

Wow! What a tuff little girl. She is so sweet too. I can't believe she said those things to you. How cute! Do they really suggest doing those two things with teeth??? I had no idea.

I wouldn't have remembered to do those things with a tooth in the midst of the accident! Hope she heals up quickly. I can't believe how big all your kiddos have gotten!
