I admit it, I have an addiction. It is with these chocolate chip cookies. I can't help it. Just to give you an idea of how BIG of a problem this actually is - 1) I've made them 4 times this past week and 2) My little Jacob, who is only 11 months, started grunting and bouncing on my hip as I was overlooking them on the pan today. Ahh... I don't know what it is about them - I like to eat them but I really like to make them. This might sound weird, but when I make them and they turn out like they did in this picture with perfect color (lightly brown), perfect doneness (a little crunchy on the outside but really chewy on the inside), and perfect "lines" (that is the way the cookie looks on the surface, not too puffy and not too flat)...it just makes me feel like a REAL WOMAN! ha ha ha And when they don't turn out...stand back because I will definitely be in a bad mood! Somebody help!! Is this normal?

JULIE!! How did you find me?? That is hilarious. Oh how I remember making cookies all the time and yours were always so perfect!! I think your recipe was 1/2 Crisco and 1/2 margarine, right? This is all Crisco...100% FAT!! How is life going for ya'll?

I think you need to see my post of "Me likey the donut" I think it is word for word what you have written just put the word cookie in it. I love cookies too and sorry but Randy makes the best cookies in the world!(Although those do look good.)

You're silly! But I have some things like that. You just feel like you've accomplished something really meaningful.
Those cookies look SO good! I miss making normal cookies - we do not have any access to CRISCO here in Mexico... we have some type of lard, fat product that everyone swears is 'just like CRISCO' - but NO, I am sorry, it is NOT AT ALL like CRISCO! Not only that... but ovens here are relative luxuries!
When we get home you'll have to make a GREAT, BIG plate of cookies! My husband, kids and I will finish it off with your family!
