They did it! The first day of school was a success!! And no, Macy didn't go to school, but she insisted on wearing her backpack.
As Kenny and I were driving down the road, the traffice was horrible, but I looked over and saw this little 2 year old boy at his house between the glass door and the front door. (and the front door looked shut) I immediately thought - Oh no, I wonder if that little boy is stuck or locked out of his house by accident. So as we sat in traffic, I got out of the car and ran towards his house to make sure he was okay. And guess what he did when he saw me coming - he opened the door and starting going the other way!! I felt like such an idiot and I'm sure the other cars were wondering what the heck I was doing as I ran up to the door and then turned around and ran back to my car. I got in the car and Kenny said with a smile, "I saw that coming." Uggh...Thanks a lot for the warning!

I can't believe that you actually went up and ate lunch with Maile the first day of school. You are such a better mom than I am. I think Mr. Hood will be here for two or three weeks, not long at all. I'm definitely nervous! I don't think I really want Mrs. Price to take over, I'm not all that impressed with her. Oh, well, I guess we'll see.

that's a tight squeeze, i would have thought the same thing. you go supermom! i'm sorry it's been so nuts and we haven't gotten together. i really miss you and want to hang out. you free for lunch?
I can picture myself running up the road, doing the same thing and then feeling like a dork the rest of the day. Don't be to hard on yourself.
