This past week I've been working on refinishing this dresser.
It was given to me about 6 years ago and I painted it white for Maile's room. When we redid Maile's room, we got her new furniture but I didn't want to get rid of the dresser because I knew it would be good for extra storage. So I decided to paint it black and put it in the game room. After sitting on the back porch for 2 months, I finally started it! We had to strip all the paint off (which I thought after the 2nd day, it was going to become bulk trash because I was about to give up!) But my good friend, Cam, came over and helped remotivate me! She was amazing - there is no way I would have finished without her! Thank you so much Cam!!
So here it is - painted black, sanded edges, and varnished!(all except the bottom left hand drawer)
The only thing it's missing are the knobs. I had plain silver ones on before, but I think I might go for some more bronzed ones this time. Any suggestions?

silver on black is very classic, but either would look good! great job, it looks great!
Hey Kristie! I found your blog on Heather Matthews. Here's a link to ours everybodylovesthepetersens.blogspot.com
Yay You finished it!! It looks great!! I like bronzed nobs better than silver but thats just me, my obsession of the month has been nobs so I have been looking all over for them and the best selection I have found is Target.com, but Hobby Lobby has some cute ones too!
wow! It looks awesome! I actually think silver would look better, but if it was a dark enough bronze, it would probably look nice too. :)
Ewww...I love that! It's beautiful. Good job. That is for sure a treasure in my opinion. I think I would go with silver...but it's all yours.
Ugh, I wish I would've seen this a while ago when I gave up mine and gave it to Goodwill. This looks beautiful! It totally motivates me but too bad I don't have my dresser anymore!! Great job!!
That above comment was mine, Tatiana. I don't know what I did wrong to become "anonymous".
Oh my goodness- look at you. I am so impressed! (But then it seems like everything you do is impressive!) What a great finished product!
This looks absolutely great! Beautiful job! I love that you have reused it so many times.
Cam is an amazing talent when it comes to this type of redo as well! Great job ladies!
